Hi, I am V. This is my 100 time attend to blogging. Knitting has been lately my stress free moment, my parallel world where I can hide away from the reality of life. We, our little family, are going through though time with cancer, unemployment, depression and fatigue. I think somehow these baddies are linked and I truly think that if we can fight one, we can eradicate the others ! positive thinking. In this blog, I will share pretty things I found or made.
I discovered ROWAN not long ago when I came across this amazing throw by Kaffee Fassett. I have never done intarsia knitting before. When I saw this throw, I had to take up the challenge of making one!
Here I am on the road of Fassett. There are 24 different panels and some of them call for 5 colours.
I am currently knitting B1. B1 only calls for two colours and naively I thought that it would be an easy one to knit …. Nope to my standards it is not easy. Even though the pattern look very repetitive, it is not. It actually changes a lot. At first I thought there were mistakes, but they are not, I think, they are just changing to give a movement to the pattern. These changes avoid the pattern to be very flat and geometric (I think). Anyway, I am struggling. I am almost half way through B1…. and here is everything together, I have a wee bit to do ! :O)
