After the words of Westknits, brioche is the stitch of 2015 ! I actually believe that it is definitely the stitch of not only this year but also the ones to come. It has so many possibilities in terms of colour play and texture that you can not be put off by it but only be attracted to it! ok, to be fair it looks scary and like many new things it takes a bit of practice to get the hang to it :)
If you have to chose between being mortal or goddess, what would you chose?
I am not sure…. I think I would chose mortal, just so I live the day like my last one …It is so easy to say but so hard to do…and what about you?
Countess Ablaze new collection, The Odyssey Trail, the colours are, as usual, outstanding. When I saw “but are you mortal or goddess” in DK, my little crush on pink was singing to my ears buy my please buy me! I know that the yarns from this collection will never be repeated. So I had to buy it, right? so I did :) and I had a perfect pattern on my queue on Ravelry. It was made for the yarn or the yarn for it. The perfect relationship.
I love blogging without expectation and I will share only passion. The other important part of blogging to me is the great feeling of snuggling into a mini space, a virtual one, where I am happy and free. I love taking pictures so dressing my pictures with words is just the cheery on the top of a gluten free cake :). So when I came across the love your blog challenge created by A playful day, I thought that it was a great idea therefore I decided to join the thread of love
I am back to normality, back to Australia, back in our house, back to our comfort zone. The heat in Australia is not as inspiring as the colder weather of New Zealand. It is very hard to knit when 36 degrees is knocking on your windows and that the wind has decided to go on holiday somewhere else. As I am very addicted, the heat did not stop me to cast on and finish some projects :) and finally to block the little Loop caramel coffee.
It is very mysterious so mysterious that you should not read any further if you want to knit exploration station from westknits and do not want to see what is behind clue 1 and 2 .
I chose madelinetosh merino tosh light for this KAL with 4 fingering weigh yarns, holi festival, farmhouse white, neon peach and cardinal. I can almost write a mini quote with the name of the yarns. It will give the soul of my future shawl I guess … :)
———————The neon peach was high up on the tree, it was therefore a perfect start for the holi festival in the farmhouse white, the cardinal was pleased ———————————
We arrived in Cairns yesterday for a conference, the moon was round and high in the night sky and the bats were singing pretty songs. They were flying between trees like a flock of crazy birds . It looked like they did not know where they were but then efficiently hooked themselves on a branch like the professionals they are. Continue reading
I think I am getting addicted to KAL. The first time I saw these 3 letters I had no idea what they meant at all. Now I know. A KAL is Knit-ALong project so it is a way for a group of knitters to work together on the same pattern or different ones (like this one) and share thoughts about yarn, colour or pattern choices. Sometime you have a limited time like this KAL with Nice and Knit which will be officially closed on the 30th of July. Sometimes you don’t have a time limit .
